Masktech & high speed
solutions...
Nuremberg, Sept. 2007
At the same time as reaching a leading market position (both as far
as the number of countries and the number of passports are concerned)
thanks to the chip for passports, MaskTech - the Allgaeu software
producers – has been sponsoring speed-skiing. It’s the
fastest sport in the world which does not rely on engines. Whereas
a mass-produced Porsche is “only” allowed to do 230 km
per hour, a speed-ski professional likes to go a bit faster. Just
like the chips provided by MaskTech which were the fastest during
the ICAO-tests in Japan, Singapore - and recently - in Berlin. We
are only talking about seconds here; however, when almost a thousand
passengers are getting off the super-airbus pretty soon, the overtired
traveller does not want to go through some passport control procedure
that takes several hours. In such a case, every single second (with
a multiplier of “one thousand”) counts. Due to the fact
that MaskTech focuses on the standard product only, this speed - which
is checked according to very strict security guidelines by international
authorities - was made possible. The competitors, four major groups,
like to mix their product with less important commodities and thus
reduce its quality.
Just like the chip being the hardware and the system representing
the software, the speed-ski business, too, is run by the Europeans
and unlikely to change hands. Some time ago MaskTech celebrated joining
the elite threesome of suppliers approved by the US.
