Addional Common Criteria EAL4+ Certificate for MaskTech’s ICAO ePassport and eID Chip Operating System MTCOS V2.0 on ST19NR66.

Nuremberg, November 14, 2008

MaskTech expanded its position as the only independant supplier working on several platforms: the German BSI - Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik (Federal Office for Information Security) awarded and accredited MTCOS Pro V2.0 on ST19NR66 Common Criteria EAL4+ according to ISO/IEC 15408:2005. MaskTech already had been awarded on two NXP platforms in 2007 for BAC and 2008 for EAC and currently prepares customer specific certifications for Schengen member countries and their delivery chain as well as for new silicon platforms.

Under Common Criteria, products are evaluated against strict standards that validate the product's security, design process, development environment, functionality, vulnerability handling, testing and documentation. This is the third security certification for MTCOS in the passport market.

To date, MaskTech has earned a Common Criteria certification for:
