| MTCOS - IAS (Identification,
Authentication & Electronic Signature) compliant
Nuremberg, March 2008
MaskTech today announces the enhancement of its embedded chip card
operating system MTCOS by electronic signature functionality according
to EN 1498. MTCOS is now one of the first high security operating
systems that incorporates IAS (Identification, Authentication &
electronic signature), ICAO passport (including “full featured”
EAC) and electronic driving license functionality. MTCOS can be used
as digital signature device for all eID solutions following the ECC
(European Citizen Card) specifications framework and for ICAO compliant
e-Passport solutions. Other typical implementations are: online authentication,
age verification, legally binding signature, ... The MTCOS multi-application
file system, certified CC EAL4+, is very flexible and can easily be
adapted to national requirements. Adaption to US standards is in preparation.
