The German BSI - Bundesamt für Sicherheit
in der Informationstechnik (Federal Office for Information Security)
issued a Common Criteria, EAL4+ high certificate for MTCOS Professional - ST23YR80.
The product certification is registered under the numbers BSI-DSZ-0664 and BSI-DSZ-0671. The evaluation and certification process is based on the latest ePassport / eID protection profiles PP-0055 & 0056 and CC Version 3.1.
The hardware used in this product is the STMiicroelectronics ST23YR80. It is a high security controller with crypto units and has been certified in France according to Common Criteria in 2010.
The chip offers premium security for human credential applications..
MTCOS V2.1 eID system on chip has Common Criteria certificates on 3 different semiconductors and offers a unique independence for the end user. The support of multiple chip platforms provides many advantages for the system integrators and end customers, like easier procurement and better availability, also during fab allocations.
With Common Criteria products are evaluated using strict standards
that validate the product's security, design process, development
environment, functionality, vulnerability handling, testing and documentation.
To date, MaskTech has earned a Common Criteria certification for:
- MTCOS Std & Pro V2.0 on P5CD072 and ST19NR66
- MTCOS Std & Pro V2.1 on SLE66CLX800PE, P5CD080 and ST23YR80
